Sorry, I meant in terms of the narrative version. I was under the impression that HFV 1 and 2 were separate from the rest. In your recent ones, Kari became a hucow under different circumstances. So if the detective is back in this one, does that mean it follows HFV 2's storyline. Apologies for the confusion

HFV1 is still Kari's (My 1st hucow) origin. HFV3 is Sadie's (current hucow with her sister Serena) origin.

So this is where I'm confused. Kari's transformation in the opening of 3 is different from the first volume. So it seems the out of universe changes to the narrative also changed Kari's transformation process.
