Sci-fi Creature Miniatures (Patreon)

What are your thoughts on sci-fi creature minis (fauna or monsters)?

If we do this Scifi project they will be very SW-like, as in more realistic  alien fauna. 

It will NOT be part of this Patreon.

Would be nice to see more sci-fi, cyberpunk, modern, superhero figs. Fantasy pretty much dominates the market.

Not really up my alley but there's definitely a market for it. Maybe a Kickstarter or a different themed patreon?

Really interested in some sword, gun, bow, staff wielding octopi that can scale to 20-25mm tall. ;-)

I'm looking for some Fantasy Sci-fi hybrid. I'm getting close to running the Iron Gods AP for Pathfinder, I'm adding in a little modified Expedition to Barrier Peaks. So a little Sci-fi is great, doubt I'd do another Patreon though.

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of great stuff out there for Starfinder so, this would be bigger than the fantasy stuff is for me.

Not sure if I would be happy if the sci-fi stuff uses up resources that would otherwise yield normal fantasy figures. Don't get me wrong, I like sci-fi, but thats nothing that I can use at the table.

It feels like there's basically nothing available at the moment to use with Star Wars RPG. There are a "few" things for SW Legion, but aside from that, you end up having to use SW Imperial Assault boards. Much of the same stuff could be used for Star Wars, or Starfinder, etc. I'd LOVE to see something like this

We know a lot of really talents artists that need work, so we are always looking for new projects (whether it be a KS or a new Patreon).

Just a point. The DnD players wil always outnumber every other genre of roleplayers. From a statistical standpoint, fantasy themes will always top out in these polls. If polls are the only determinants, SciFi themes will never be selected. I understand your time is limited, but if SciFi will ever happen, it will have to be a decision on your part.

You are correct. If we do go that route, Im confident people from other genres will want them. I suppose everyone will have to wait and see what we come up with.

If you want make some Sci-fi make some in AvP style, right now there is many sad people due to the discontinued AvP the hunt begins, which is still lacking Weyland-yutani PowerSuit model and others. If you can, please consider to make some Call of Cthulhu RPG investigators.

Sci-fi is not a part of this Patreon. We are just asking your opinion 😉 If we did it, it would be a different Patreon or Kickstarter.
