I'd had no idea that this movie was a Thing, until I came across this trailer.

Show looks to have a bit of an international flavor, since our characters are shown speaking some English, and our protagonist, played by Joo Won, has an English moniker.

I'm quite curious to see how that works out. Hopefully there'll be a good narrative reason for this.

Our story is about Carter, a secret agent who wakes up one day in a motel room without any recollection of his identity or his assignment, and is forced by circumstances into joining a dangerous mission.

The trailer looks splashy and polished, and it does give me Hollywood vibes, like this could pass for a Hollywood blockbuster action flick.

My hope is that underneath the Hollywood-esque polish, Show will still manage to be Korean at heart, like Squid Game.

Show drops on Netflix on 5 August, with a running time of 2 hours 13 minutes.
