Character teasers for upcoming drama "Alchemy of Souls" (Patreon)

Shout-out to Kun, for taking the time to send me the character teasers for Alchemy of Souls, which have just been released.

This is the latest drama offering by the Hong sisters, where Lee Jae Wook's character Jang Wook, who comes from a noble family, and who's a bit of a troublemaker, has some kind of unpleasant birth secret.

Jung So Min's character Mu Deok, an elite warrior trapped in a weak body, crosses paths with Jang Wook, and become his servant and his secret martial arts teacher.

..And that's pretty much all we know so far, really.

I like both Jung So Min and Lee Jae Wook, but have been pretty underwhelmed by the dramas that the Hong sisters have put out in recent years, so I'm approaching this one with some caution.

Interestingly, the teasers have a xianxia (Chinese period fantasy) sort of vibe to them. On the one hand, it's different from other kdramas? But on the other hand, will it perhaps trigger netizen debate over copying / stealing..? I sure hope not..! 🙈

Show is slated to be 20 episodes, and will air on Saturdays and Sundays, from 18 June to 21 August, on tvN and Netflix.
