First teaser for upcoming drama "My Liberation Diary" (Patreon)

Many thanks to Kun, for making sure to send this to me, because this one does seem promising.

Sure, the trailer itself doesn't tell us a great deal, but piecing it together with the premise and matching this with its writer, does making this one appear more intriguing that it first looks.

We know that the premise is that 3 siblings who live in Sanpo Village, a quiet, sleepy little place where people tend to leave for bigger things. All 3 siblings desire to leave as well, to escape a dead-end sort of life in Sanpo Village. One day, a Mr. Goo arrives in Sanpo, and his quirky, mysterious personality draws Mi Jung, the youngest, most timid of the siblings, to approach him.

The premise itself might sound like it could go either way, but bearing in mind the show's writer and cast, I have positive hope that this will be worth checking out.

First of all, this comes from Park Hae Young, the writer of My Mister, which is, in short, a masterpiece. She also wrote Another Oh Hae Young, which I thought was very well-written, for the most part. With her at the helm, I'm sure this story will prove to be heartfelt and nuanced.

In terms of the cast, we have Lee Min Ki, Lee El and Kim Ji Won playing the 3 siblings, and all 3 are solid, solid actors whom I enjoy. AND, playing the mysterious Mr. Goo, we have Son Seok Koo, whom I think is just PERFECT, to play quirky and mysterious. 🤩🤩🤩 Can you tell I have a soft spot for Son Seok Koo? 😁

I'm definitely keeping this one on my radar, y'all.

Show is 16 episodes, and will air on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9 Apr to 29 May, on jTBC. No word yet on which streaming platforms will carry this one.
