Hi everyone,

This is a quick heads-up post, to keep you guys updated while I get things sorted.

As many of you would be aware, the controversy around Ji Soo's bullying past has had big implications on the production on River Where The Moon Rises.

I'm working on a blog post to, 1, share my thoughts on the scandal, and also, 2, announce a swopping out of River Where The Moon Rises as a show being covered here on Patreon. With the change in male lead that's been announced, and the scramble to keep the show going, while sticking to the airing schedule, it looks like the show itself will definitely be affected, quality- and story-wise.

I'll continue to keep an eye on the show, but don't think that it would be a good show to cover here on Patreon. The show that I've picked as a replacement is Vincenzo - unless I find myself hating it when I check it out proper, in which case I'll pick a different show.

I plan to publish the blog post on the site on Monday, 8th March, along with E1 notes of Vincenzo here on Patreon, as well as E4 notes of River Where The Moon Rises, as a courtesy to those of you who are following the show with me here. Following that, my episode notes for the Ultimate tier will switch over fully to notes for Vincenzo. (EDIT: Sorry, I got the dates wrong - the posts will be going live on Sunday, 7 March instead! Apparently I'm not great with calendars today. 😝)

I hope that works out ok for everyone, and I'm sincerely sorry to be the bearer of bad news. 😬

KFG ❤️

I wasn't watching River Where the Moon Rises so I'm not affected. I think this approach definitely makes sense and I might join Vincenzo! I haven't watched anything Song Joon Ki is in other than the first episode of Dots

SJK appears to be having a moment now, has anyone watched the sci-fi movie he's in that just dropped on Netflix?

Elaine: I watched it, and quite enjoyed it. Fair warning though, you have to watch it with a firm "this is fast action space opera" lens in place. If you are the type who is going to nit-pick obvious orbital mechanics or materials science absurdities (nothing wrong with that!), it may not be for you. Aside from that, the core cast is great (Kim Tae-ri is a bad-@ss), the kid is lethally cute, and it has some real heart to it. That's my quick-take, anyway.

I loved Song Joong Ki in Sungkyunkwan Scandal, so if you're in a fusion sageuk sort of mood, that's a fun one to watch! Also, yay that you're thinking of joining me for Vincenzo! 😃
