just to clarify since it probably didn’t make sense. 😭 there’s a popular game in korea called mafia, it’s v similar to among us (actually kind of where the inspiration for among us comes from) whereas the imposter is the mafia and they “kill” people and try to make it to the end and not get caught. that’s why it’s the song is actually called ‘mafia in the morning’ bc in the game, everyone goes to sleep at “night” and then the mafia secretly kills someone then when everyone wake up it’s “morning” and they gotta figure out who it is. so when they say they’re the mafia it’s like an analogy like i’m not gonna be obvious at first but i’ll make you mine in the end ???

I don’t know if you’ve ever played that game as a kid. In Korea it’s called “mafia” but we call it something else, i just can’t remember. But one person is the killer and everyone else goes to sleep, and then there’s a police and a doctor or witch. The killer kills someone while they’re sleeping and everyone else has to try and figure out who the killer is. The police can catch them and the doctor or witch can heal/save someone. I played it as a kid and that was...many years ago 😂

The song was most definitely not my favorite. I didnt like the sound of it at all. I do perfer their previous pop songs u reacted to, than this particular song. But their looks,attitude,the visuals and choreo was on point. It's not a bad era for them ,but as good as the choreo may seem, I heard many fans say that the girls are capable of getting knee pain and alot of the choreo has them bending and very quickly too. The girls on stage do have great energy but they are looking more exhausted when performing this dance ,which is sad. In their other songs, they proved they can pull off tougher choreo than most girlgroups but if this is too hard, then it's too hard to perform AND practice repeatedly,but labels dont care😒

Koreans literally got the game from the west so it's still called Mafia haha. It's also called Werewolf and there are also similar murder mystery games like "Murder, she wrote" or "wink murder"

There’s another name we called it when I was growing up. This was in the 90’s but it wasn’t Mafia or any of the ones you mentioned. If I hear it I’ll know it but I just can’t remember right now 😆
