Sorry for the lack updates last month, the team and I have been busy with a lot of things!

I wanted to talk about how things have been going for us here at Narrative Declaration and to give everyone an update on how various projects are going!

Project's Progress

Starfinder Campaign

Our plans for the Starfinder Campaign remain unchanged. Currently, we’re now in the “casting” phase, where we try out different groups and players to see if they 1. Enjoy playing Starfinder, and 2. Enjoy playing the game together while also being a good fit for the show. Comradere and group chemistry are one of the most important things for a TTRPG show. We’re doing our best to find the right fit for Starfinder and our ever-continuing mission to bring in the hee hee hoo hoos.

We wanted to share a crucial detail about the Starfinder Campaign, and our approach its longevity. 

Our current plan is to put together a group and have them embark on a short Starfinder adventure live on stream, which we estimate will take around 3 to 5 sessions. Depending on the reception of the show on Twitch and Youtube, we'll decide whether to continue the campaign or not. We're hoping for positive feedback, of course, but we want to be realistic and not get ahead of ourselves. As always, we're grateful for your support, and we're looking forward to sharing this adventure with you!

WarHams Special

Due to our Twitch supporters helping us with our sub goal, we planned to do another WarHams special on April 1st. But due to OnCallGM being in the hospital due to kidney stones at the time (he is feeling better now), and other factors. We sadly weren’t able to provide an episode on April 1st, which we apologize for.

We will still provide the WarHams Special as promised, but we’re having talks internally about making it a one-and-done stream or doing a charity event in October. We’re lovingly calling it Orctober for now, it’s not original, and we’re trying not to use Orktober, but we got some FLASHING ideas for it!

Planning a Discord Pathfinder 2E Campaign set in the Rotgrind Universe.
aka: a West March campaign

A long-term goal has been to establish a “west march” style campaign for our Narrative Declaration Discord. If you need context as to -what- a west march campaign is, check out these videos here and here.

The idea is to provide a place for those wanting to play Pathfinder Second Edition and engage in the world of Rotgrind with the community. If you noticed in our Rotgrind Primer PDF, there is an unnamed continent on the top right of the map. Fully intended for a project like this!

For those active in Discord, I recently asked people to join me in a voice call to get an overall impression of people’s idea of the idea and their experiences with server campaigns like this.

It was extremely helpful! So thank you to all who have been contributing to the conversation. On top of everyone’s feedback, I’ve been asking a lot of friends and veterans of servers like this. West March servers take a lot of work to run and manage, and with me being a very busy individual, I know that I will need a lot of help from you the community.

Everyone on the Narrative Declaration team is busy with their real-life jobs and other passions, so the West March campaign, if done, will have to be community moderated and run. I would prefer this direction, as I would prefer a more “hey, me and OnCallGM will give you guys a basic outline of stuff and the major story plots. And you guys just have at it and have some fun.”

We will be having an internal meeting in the future to discuss for 1. Can we commit the time to this with everything going on, and 2. How will this be executed and handled?

There are A LOT of details here and there that we have to tackle. Where should the campaign be? How many community members should we bring on as dedicated staff? What free assets can we provide to assist volunteer Game Masters? How will the bookkeeping be done?

This project will take a while to iron out and get moving, which we plan to start off very small with it and build from there. If you want to help make it happen, show us your passion in Discord by running games now and engaging with the community! And stay tuned for updates about this initiative.

Upcoming PDFs

We have been working on a lore document for a while called “The Guilds of Outset!” This PDF is meant to give Game Masters and Players more material to ground themselves in the city of Outset and provide fun plot hooks to engage with!

The struggle with a very small team producing lore for a project like this is the time it takes to get things just right. We’re soon to complete it, hopefully, this month so that you can see all of the yourselves in the PDF as well 🙂

D20+ 1 Shot! Short adventures with guests & more!

The concept of “D20+1 Shot” is to introduce everyone to wonderful performers from different walks of life and provide more hilarious TTRPG content for you to enjoy! This also helps expose our amazing community and shows to a wider audience due to the collab nature of this show.

You have seen D20+1 Shot in the past before, but it has morphed to be its current rendition of "invite some guests for a 1 shot or super short adventure." If you’ve seen our Vtuber collab video and streams, this is an example of the concept being executed. And we hope you enjoy the new faces as much as I love playing with them! Occasionally you will see a stream announcement or a video upload with all sorts of different players. Some groups will be your cup of tea; others won’t, which is okay! All we ask is our audience to give them an honest try and be respectful.

So far, in our eyes, the idea has been a great success! And I am so thankful to have the opportunity to meet such fantastic performers and introduce them to something, not DnD.

How is Narrative Declaration doing overall?

To keep it short, I think we are doing fantastic, thanks to our amazing team and community! The grind, however, never stops for us, and every one of your contributions has kept us afloat during many internal hardships.

TTRPG shows are EXTREMELY finicky to run, manage, and produce constantly and consistently like we do. The simple fact that we’ve been able to produce so much ever since the WarHams days are absolutely insane. Without any of you here on Patreon, Twitch, Youtube, and telling people about us on forums and the internet as a whole, we wouldn’t have survived!

So thank you to everyone for supporting us thus far! And we’re excited to keep kicking cheeks with all of you!

Big side note:

I keep getting messages from new Patrons about some posts being locked or not accessible.
First, ALWAYS look at our master content post first to see if an updated post was made with the content you’re looking for.

Or, it’s old content that we forgot to switch to our new tiers after we switched off from WarHams. A lot of the content, such as the early VOD previews, are now on Youtube or podcasts. So a lot of it is redundant. If you need help finding something or can’t access the content you’re supposed to have, PLEASE MESSAGE US. If you don’t let us know, we can’t fix it!

Also yes I do need to get those abomination vaults vods uploaded on Youtube.
