Rotgrind - Baldric's Guide to Guerilla Alchemy (Patreon)

Yo everyone, Earndil here, writing this announcement due to our esteemed GM Thurston Hillman coming down with a bad case of the "hidden path ahead try finger but hole", talking to you today about this little document which I had a major hand in putting together. As a writer there is nothing I delight in more than writing flavor text for every little thing under the sun, in addition to breaking the mold so to speak and coming up with unusual and novel ways to influence how games are played. In the spirit of this, I worked with Thurston and Jamie to produce this document which details a short list of supplementary items created for our Rotgrind campaign!

I have been accused (rightfully) of simply coming up with stuff in a spur-of-the-moment manner, thinking about what is to hand, and what exactly can be made unique about my own particular thought process in the heat of passion. Some of the items within this book seem rather simple, or just having a sort of obvious thought like "What if healing potion, but RANGED!?", but considering it hasn't been considered by-and-large by the standard rules, that affords me a little bit of credit. Mechanically they may seem simple, but I do not write mechanics, only the details, flavor, and intrigue behind the items, and I certainly hope you enjoy the dive into my thought process for some of them.

I hope you have as much fun implementing them as I did concepting them out, doodling rough images for how I interpreted them, and coming up with Baldric's own personal takes on how to use them, as well as his thoughts on the items. If interest is high enough, I'm certainly a fount of ideas, and would be willing to investigate with the two of them on maybe coming up with some more stuff, not limited to simply Alchemical Goodies. Enjoy! Or Don't! I don't care!
