Hey everyone! It's Zoran here to keep you updated on what's going on.

First off, something super exciting:

Congrats to OnCallGM on becoming Paizo's Associate Publisher!

Thurston has been one of the major pillars here at NarDec. Without his TTRPG exterpese and amazing friendship, we would not have been able to reach the heights we have today.

We're proud of our Game Master skull, and we look forward to many more adventures.

Also, GenCon 2024 is soon upon us! If you're going, be sure to stop by the Paizo booth and give Thurston a hello!

What's happening with the campaigns?

This will parrot our previous update post, but we wanted to state what's happening again for those who may have missed it.

Rotgrind is now on hiatus as we prepare for season 4. We want to take some time to adjust some things and order new art for the season. Rotgrind will return early next year (2025).
The reason for the time gap is to give us that additional time to commission pieces of art, develop lore as the adventure is going to go through some wild adventures! That and I feel we need to spruce up our presentation of the show.

We're also looking into revamping our complication system. In other systems, the complications gave us interesting prompts or silly things that enhanced the RP. In a system like Pathfinder Second Edition, having a nat 1 to then being kicked in the metaphorical balls again didn't make the play experience all that great. So we're looking to see how it's easier for you to submit complications and to make the experience more enjoyable for you and our players.

Additionally, Rotgoons will also be going on an extended hiatus after August. Repeating the previous update post:

  • The player's time commitment has shifted, so doing Kingmaker & Rotgoons at the same time has become a problem for some of them. Kingmaker is more flexible for them time-wise due to its pre-recorded nature.

  • I, Zoran, need the extra time to develop more content for the campaign and future ones.

  • I also need to focus some time elsewhere to help NarDec grow even more.

There is no set date on when Rotgoons will return, as the player's time would need to free up more, and it's hard to tell the future.

I will probably say it during the final episode. But I am eternally grateful for our audience giving Rotgoons a chance. The fan art, the memes, the laughs and more made the campaign an absolute joy. It isn't 100% what I wanted myself, as circumstances sadly pushed the campaign to where it is now. But me and the players would like to say thank you for giving this off-shoot campaign a shot.

We are blown away by your response to our Kingmaker campaign. So much so that its become a little scary. You all have doubled what we usually get on Patreon, and for that we're extremely grateful!

Our plans for the Kingmaker campaign have not changed, and we're steadily recording every Tuesday and pre-producing the show for you all to enjoy.

Be sure to check our stream/content schedule here to know when we upload the Kingmaker episodes to Patreon. As we upload 2 a month on a bi-weekly schedule. We do our best to hit the exact dates, but if an error occurs don't worry, we'll fix it soon ;)

This brings the question: "Okay, well, two of your major shows are soon to be on hold. What do we get?"

We understand how awkward this is timing wise. I however want to make the shows the best we can with what we have, and we only get 1 shot at doing them, so taking the extra time to prepare them for all of you I feel is the best direction. This process will take some time, and some experiments. Speaking of..

An experiment we would like to try is returning to a system where it all began with us.

I want to clarify that this is not the return of WarHams. This campaign will use the updated Wrath & Glory rules with new characters with most of the old WarHams crew. It will include Thurston returning as the GM for this, SpeakerD, HulkyKrow, Odorishirider, and me(Zoran). Earndil abstained due to other obligations.

This campaign will also not be in the "If the Emperor TTS verse." Instead, we will be going through the official Wrath & Glory adventures, Litanies of the Lost. The tone and direction of the campaign is still to be goofy and silly.

I will say that if the Wrath & Glory campaign gets a lot of support, then the chances that we return to WarHams go up dramatically. Alfabusa and I have talked in the past about bringing it back, and we both agreed to do so when possible.

We want to make absolutely sure people are actually down for a return of WarHams before heavily investing in it. As once we start, it becomes a huge investment on our part. This shorter campaign helps us test those waters.

Here is a quick FAQ about the Wrath & Glory campaign and other info:

How long is the Rotgrind hiatus?

Till early 2025

How long is the Rotgoons hiatus?

TBD. Player availability next year will need to be determined.

When does the Wrath & Glory campaign begin?

The current planned date is September 18th, 2024; if it changes, we will let you know!

How long is the Wrath & Glory campaign?

We're aiming to end the campaign in early December or late November. Depending on our speed, it may end earlier.

Will the W&G campaign be streamed?

Yes!

What is the time/schedule of the W&G campaign?

We're aiming for every Wednesday (meaning weekly) at 8 PM CST. Starting September 18th 2024

Why the change from Saturday and to a different time? My timezone doesn't like this!

We've always set the time and date for our live streams to make them compatible with EU time zones. But over the years, its taken a huge drain on us United States folks.

To be honest, we just want our weekends back and to shift the time to something more manageable for us. So the shift to a weekday and a later time helps our sanity.

Sorry, timezone bros, we held on for 3+ years of scrambled weekends!

You guys take all the time you need. You've all given us so much over the years it's the least you all deserve ❤️

I was really really looking forward to a Starfinder Playtest campaign or at least a one shot.

WarHams

We did try to get Paizo on board with that. And to get things early to try it, but: 1. Players weren't as interested. 2. Players are already committed to other stuff. 3. Paizo left us on read.

I would have suggested Imperium Maledictum but still looking forward to you guys running W&G again.

WarHams

We looked at it and due to its complexity and lack of VTT support we opted to go with a more role play system.

I’m gonna miss the Gooners for sure!
