The Mama is usually in two parts, one part in Japan and one part in Hong Kong, but because the pandemic these days they are holding it in Korea. And all the idols travel from Korea to Japan and then from Japan to Hong Kong

Just FYI - the All moments videos cut the performances shorter... for example all of J-hopes verse where they walk from the main stage to the front stage is missing. Still an amazing reaction. just for the future beware...

I like this video cuz you can see their speeches but you didn't see the whole performance is shorter here. So I suggest you to watch the single performances video next time 🤗 I don't know your schedule next but yes on 2018 they also performed in Japan for mama and before that that was the ICONIC performance of the Melon Music Awards. But I'm pretty sure Stacy gave you all of that 😊 remember to watch both Melon and Japan MAMA cuz 🔥🔥🔥 stages that you won't miss. Ps: yeah years ago mama were held both in Japan and HK. In 2019 they went only in Japan for all the problems that were going on in HK, safety reason. And these last 2 years unfortunately only on SK for the pandemic.

Oh also yeah bts told us about their hard times that they had at the beginning 2018 during hk mama. I still remember how I cryed during the whole speech, we were all a mess on social media cuz we felt so sorry for them but also happy cuz they overcome their hard time. And it was for the best since in 2018 they performed for the first time at Billboard Music Award and they achieved amazing things worldwide 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 and now here we are ❤️

BTS signed a 7 year contract from debut that was up to be renewed. That meant that, their contract negotiations were in 2018, for renewal in 2020. They had, at that time, to decide if they were going to sign another 6 to 7 year contract or if they were going to start winding down their activities to ready for disbanding in 2020. Jimin did a vlog that talked about how he considered the disbandment and that they all really struggled during that time. Pretty much from 2018, awards shows were BTS concerts. Fun fact, light sticks aren't supposed to be allowed, yet you see ARMY Bombs throughout the audience. Can't wait until you react to the MMA 2018, MMA 2019 and MAMA 2019 performances!

I bawled my eyes out when I first watched this and saw my Hobi crying. So emotional. I'm so happy they stayed strong and stayed together, otherwise I wouldn't have those seven beautiful souls in my life bringing me joy.

BTS has won Artist of the Year at MAMA every year since 2016. They've won it at the MMAs every year since 2017. The last three years, they've swept the Daesangs (AOTY, SOTY, ALOTY, & Worldwide Icon) at both the MMAs and MAMAs. Those are just the major award shows. I think the only other act/artist who has won AOTY at any Korean Award show in the last 4 years has been IU. BTS routinely walks away from award shows with 8 or 9 trophies in their bag. We say it all the time but they don't really compete with the rest of kpop. If BTS is in the picture, it's their win. It's caused a lot of friction in the kpop world. People feel like it's not fair to have BTS eligible bc they're on such another scale it's difficult to compete. Not to be that ARMY but I think BTS deserves everything they've got. And they're still so humble and grateful. Also, MAMA used to have multiple shows and they would break up the awards. One for fan-voted awards (those were the 4 awards BTS won that the MCs recapped during the red carpet), one for things like production, choreo, best director--staff and technical support awards, and then the big show that announced all the chart awards and Daesangs which was this one. I recommend checking out the Japan show! They had a Fake Love dance break that was phenomenal and a really fun Anpanman performance!

It was nice to see them receive the awards and the speeches again. But I am disappointed with the performances. There were so many cuts that took away the joy of watching a little. J-Hope's Part in Airplane and Idol, V's, JK's and Jimins Parts in Idol ... Yeah these are better videos, the mama performance 2018 In HK was almost 20 minutes and in the video Tg saw they cut a lot of that. https://youtu.be/6v8p3FNE9Og here's the full performance for MAMA in Japan 2018 that was held before mama in HK 😘 i watched the video and is full with all the vcr that are also important in their performances 😊
