Patreon Changes (Patreon)

Hello guys and gals, this is a follow-up to the poll from last week about potential changes to the Hunter tier:

Based on the feedback, there is an overwhelming leaning towards making the 10-dollar tier begin providing regular chapters. Heck, there was a poll for only current Patrons of the Hunter-tier where the disparity between keeping it as is and more regular chapters was 2-85.

So, from April and moving forwards, there will be a few changes.

The 3-dollar Archer-tier honestly feels a bit lackluster at the moment, so I am boosting that to 10 chapters ahead of RR. This wasn't really a part of the poll or anything; I just reckon it makes sense.

The 5-dollar Alchemist-tier will remain the same with 25 chapters ahead of RR. 

The 10-dollar Hunter-tier has till now only provided side stories, but moving forward, it will begin to give regular chapters ahead of the Alchemist-tier. This increase will happen gradually with 1-2 chapters every week, coming on the weekend. This does mean the Alchemist-tier will remain the "value-for-money" tier until we reach the end-goal of 50 advance chapters total for this tier (that is the plan at the moment, at least). Side stories will still happen, but be rarer with no guarantees (don't worry, we will still have more stories about the goodest of boys). Note that some side stories (those not closely related to the main story) will stay exclusive to the Hunter tier.

The 50-dollar Apex Hunter-tier will retain its immense value of giving you an orange name on Discord.

As the poll mentioned, then one of the Hunter-tier felt a bit lackluster only offering side stories, and this also meant that making side stories accessible to more readers would make the tier feel even worse. But with the tier now beginning to offer more regular chapters, I also feel a lot more comfortable making some of the side stories more accessible to everyone. Some of them are far closer to Intermission than side stories and often contain things that really walk the line between the main story and side story, so it will only make sense to make some of these available.

All of this will go into effect from April, but to prepare for that, some things will change from the 28th. I will post a few chapters for the Hunter tier that day, as well as a side story for both the Alchemist and Archer-tier. The Archer-tier will also gain an increase of 5 chapters that day.

I am just gonna be honest; when I set up this whole Patreon thing back at the end of October, it was done very much in a rush. Not much thought went into many of the tiers. Heck, the Alchemist tier was meant to be 20-advance chapters, but then I got baited by Discord into giving more chapters, and it turned into 25. The Hunter-tier's weekly side story was just because I had a lot of side stories in mind and a bunch of POV chapters that could be refurbished into side stories. Who would have thought that coming up with a meaningful and good side story every week was easy? I sure didn't think about it.

I know some people won't like this change, and I am sorry to those people. Much of this is due to my own inadequate planning and lack of forethought (how the hell could I know my little story would suddenly become my job?). I just want to say that I appreciate you all, and if you feel like you can no longer support the story on Patreon, I perfectly understand. I just hope you continue to enjoy the story anyway.
