[News] Recent development progress - 2022y/6m/9d (Patreon)

Recently I been working on a new feature called "Transparent image Edge Clarity Enhancement" which will significantly improve the clarity of scaled images with alpha channel (transparent background), especially when upscaling low-res images, and the alpha channel will be preserved.

Right now I successfully implemented this feature to RealESRGAN-NCNN-Vulkan engine (PSD files & static images).

My plan is make it available for processing static images, GIF and PSD files across ALL engines, but this will take a lot of time since it will require a lot coding.

And here is an example, you can see those edges are "cleaner" when "Transparent image Edge Clarity Enhancement" is enabled:
