The Third, and final, book in the Demons series finds Derick coming across a place everything he knows tells him can’t exist. A small community in the middle of the wilds where humans and demons coexist in peace.

Once he gets over his suspicions, and gains the begrudging respect of the elder demon, he realized that this is a place he can see himself living. A place where he can be at peace.

But well before he has the time to settle in, the peace is disturbed by the arrival of another demon. Claw if the Dark is here looking for Derick. He needs the retired hunter’s help in rescuing Amanda again.

This time, she’s been kidnapped by criminals and taken to a city that was vacated due to an unexplained sickness. To complicate matters, those criminals work alongside demons.

And those aren’t the last of the surprises Derick needs to deal with if he’s going to keep Claws safe from the military already on site and mounting their own rescue.

This book was tough to set up because I wanted it to be the last one. It WAS going to be the last one, because by the end of it, Derick would be at peace with himself. The problem is that there are a LOT of things that don’t get resolved about the world. I’m okay with that, since I’m telling Derick’s story, and not the world’s, but in all the conversations with my co-scripter while setting up the outline, he’d ask about this thing or that one, or this one that was brought up before and… well, lets just say that if I ever decide to return to this world, he has a LOT of idea for where we can take those stories.

There isn’t much more to say. For me, this book came about because of where book 2 left off, and I needed to resolve Derick’s inner conflict.

As usual, comments and questions are welcome.
