im watching this season for the first time via your reactions and i agree about paige's personality. the baby voice, the casually sucking on a lollipop, the ditzy comments and overall impulsive behavior...they have written her as very childish and it doesn't work for me because although she's young, she's still a grown woman. i can only assume she goes through some insane character development over time since it seems like fans have been talking her up as some great character lol. not really seeing it yet though.

Her character definitely goes through an adjustment. Just like Piper changes over the course of the show. The writers start to adjust picking up on the actor's quirks I think. But yeah, initially Paige is pretty bad in that respect.

I dunno...I don't see the "too young for her age" thing in Paige. I think maybe you just don't like Rose's acting lol. Because 23/24 is still pretty damn young. Maybe the lollipop thing is odd? But she definitely doesn't talk in a baby voice like Phoebe was doing when she was "Paige". And she's a bit reckless and bored with the technical study of magic, which I def would have been at that age. Heck, I'm a few years older now than Paige was this season, and I'd STILL be like I WANNA DO COOL STUFF WITH MAGIC NOWWWW. Like...fr I just found out I have magical powers!! This is my childhood fantasy come to life. Ofc I'm gonna wanna have some fun with it. Paige doesn't have the same grasp of the urgency that Piper and Phoebe do. They took time to really get that way too. I do think Paige goes through a character development (the way the other 3 did) that stabilised who she is, but I don't think she's acting younger than her age. Phoebe putting on a baby voice was the most unsettling part of the episode (though she tends to do that as Phoebe from time to time anyway lol). And hells yeah Phoebe AND Paige should have punched Cole out for kissing Phoebe in Paige's body. That's a violation, mate.

Honestly, in this episode, I think Rose's acting is better than Allyssa's. Rose is acting more accurately like Phoebe, but Allyssa is acting ridiculously younger as Paige than Rose has been portraying since the start of the season. You often miss things while talking or focusing and venting on irrelevant things during the entire episode.
