This is definitely one of my least favorite episodes in the whole series, they could’ve accomplished the same story progression in less than half the episode if they left out several unnecessary plots. The Christopher storyline is fine to me, it is past time for him to step up and be a real Father to Rory since he is one to Gigi, and him becoming rich is whatever, he always had money anyway. The band fight was weird, that came out of nowhere but just by Zach’s behavior Lane should’ve wanted to break up (imo), he was condescending and rude as hell to her for absolutely no reason. Liz’s reaction to April was chill because Liz is very “hippy” and “go with the flow”, the opposite of Luke in every way lol. I also hate that Luke is changing his tune about Christopher only after learning about April, and that being the catalyst to him reaching out to them. Last episode he lost his shit over perceived “secrets” and is now carrying one of the biggest secrets imaginable 🤦🏻‍♀️ All I can say about Rory and Logan…they were on a break…look how well that worked out for Ross and Rachel 😂😂

Ouch! While I agree, this isn't one of the better episode, I have a hard time not loving any episode of GIlmore Girls. That said, I am glad to see your honest reaction! Don't want it to come across that I want anything other than an honest reaction, whether it is good or bad. Rory is an entitled little brat this season. Even the fact that she asked Chris to pay for Yale... It is a slap in the face to her grandparents who have done nothing but support her. She is angry because they felt like they wanted to shelter her. No, she didn't need to be sheltered, but they also don't deserve the treatment, and the bitterness that she is showing toward them. Chris getting the money doesn't bother me. Actually think it's cute how much he wants to share it. You have to remember too though, no, he may not have helped before, but how much would Lorelai have allowed him to? Especially given that he was struggling himself for a good long while. He couldn't even buy Rory that dictionary in the beginning of the series. Lorelai has always been a self sufficient, "I don't need anything from anyone" person. She would have refused help. Now he has money though, and he is excited because he feels like he CAN help FINALLY! I think it's cute. Luke being okay with it just because he now has a kid annoys me. It annoys me that he hasn't told Lorelai. Perfect time to tell her.... she just led with telling him about Chris... you have news too, doofus... Any episode with Liz is great. I love the line where she asks if turkeys are born with the pop up button that says when they are done. Of course she is gonna be chill. I don't think that woman is capable of overreacting to something like this. Maybe a little shock, but she is the eternal hippie. On top of that, she knows her brother so well, she can name the woman that is the obvious mother... which means that she knows this isn't a one night stand kind of thing where he just knocked someone up and left them. He is a loyal guy... if he has a kid, it isn't his fault that he hasn't been in the picture, and she knows that. If she were to get upset, it would only be because the mother kept his child from her brother. Only other possible reaction from her would be maybe being shocked, but even that... not much can shock Liz. I 100% agree on the band stuff. It annoys me. I get that Zack is annoyed that Brian wrote a song about his girlfriend, but Brian saw how much it was getting to Lane. Maybe it was a bit weird, but Zack was totally insane. I think that story line was absolutely ridiculous. Great reaction as always! Thanks!!!

I think Luke changed his tune because now he's hiding something so he has to not care about Loralie seeing Christopher. Then I think as he was saying it was OK he realized he needed to step up. That's my take anyway.

To me Rory's return and the way she returned did not feel off or rushed you have to remember that she didn't come back until the very end of episode 9 so for viewers at home watching it play out in real time as it aired that storyline took over 2 months to play out where as people coming into it now on Netflix can watch those 2 months worth of episodes in a few days time so for those people it can seem like the storyline happened fast but trust me for viewers watching in real time it didn't feel like that. As for Lorelai welcoming Rory back so easily I honestly don't think it was that easy. In the beginning Lorelai went the rout of trying to get her parents help and talk Rory into going back to Yale and when her parents stabbed her in the back it helped open Lorelais eyes to something she already deep down knew which was that no one in Rorys world was going to be able to talk her into going back to Yale if that's not what she wanted not Lorelai, Emily and Richard, and not Logan or Paris if Rory was going to go back to Yale it was going to take some tough love from Lorelai and it was going to have to be a decision she made on her own. Lorelai even said that as soon as Rory was back at Yale she would welcome her back with open arms and that is exactly what happened. Now you could say that Rory did have a little nudge when she had the conversation with Jess outside the pub but I don't consider Jess as someone who is in Rorys immediate world anymore since before then they hadn't seen or talked to each other for 2 years so it literally took someone who knows her but is in some way removed from the situation to be like hey why did you drop out if Yale for Rory to be like you know what yeah why did I drop out of Yale what the hell am I doing with my life. She also didn't try to come back as soon as her decision to go back to school had been made she waited until she had not only talked to her dean at Yale and got that squared away but also secured a job before she even made that call to Lorelai and as she said she would almost from the beginning Lorelai welcomed her back with open arms which I think was always how that was going to play out no matter how big the rift between Lorelai and Rory got Lorelai was always going to welcome her back with open arms because that's how close Lorelai and Rory have always been.

Thank you for the reaction! I agree with most of the stuff...the Rory worship is getting annoying and repetitive and i much rather liked the episodes where they fought all the time. There are very few episodes that are good in my opinion and I can' recall from memory more then 5 until the end of the series. It's still funny and well written but the story and the characters just lost something that was important for me. Like the post-its that Lorelai wrote - on paper, it's a funny (very Gilmore Girls) thing to do in this episode, but it felt empty

Steven, you are not alone. I find myself getting annoyed with a lot of the characters and choices made in this episode and especially the back half of S6. Most people say that S7 is the worst, and while it may not have the usual GG flair (for reasons), with a few exceptions I find the back half of S6 pretty hard to get through and I get quite annoyed with the characters and the direction of the rest of the season, but that is just my opinion.

I like this episode and season, it stirs things up a bit!

I always look at it as Rory has been gone since the beginning of summer break so she’s been gone for about six months . Three months in the pool house and three months in the main house. Zack acting a fool wasn’t necessary. Luke is weird about Chris considering Loreli chose him over everything her parents and Chris did. It was just a dumb plot point to transition to April. I’m one of those people who didn’t like the insert of April. But I’ll mention why when we get to it.
