I will agree with you. I love Phoebe but for this storyline I didn't and I think Steven has a right to feel as annoyed. I remember watching all these episodes for the first time with a headache to the point I literally just do not rewatch it because it's painful to watch. Phoebe hatred for Cole (how it's written) is ridiculous. I feel as if the writers believe that Cole was evil the entire season 4 instead of facing the fact that it was the SOURCE! The good in Cole is why the Source couldn't kill the Charmed ones.

Same, watching his reactions made me realize why I low key skip a good portion of season 5 when I rewatch😂

I am literally counting the episodes til this arc ends. I was dreading it before it began too. Even though Steven loves Cole and wanted him to survive, I knew he wouldn't enjoy what's happening right now.

we are in the trenches with Phoebe, atleast Paige's optimism and Piper's questioning related to cole are keeping my head above water

I'm saying this as someone who never cared for the Phoebe/Cole romance...I HATED what they did to Cole AND to Phoebe's character. I understand what they're TRYING to portray - Cole is the toxic ex that, yes, Phoebe once chose to be evil for but she's learned her lesson, she can't go down that road again and she wants to move on/distance herself from him. BUT they forgot to acknowledge Phoebe's actions and decisions that HELPED Cole stay evil last season. Phoebe doesn't take any accountability for it. And in trying to demonise (heh) Cole for simply breathing air, they've ironically pointed out just how toxic Phoebe is. It's just so annoying how she blames him for everything. Even when he wants to die, she'll tell him "on our terms". It's such a vicious cycle of toxicity that Phoebe needs to see a therapist for. I'm glad you still like the show, though. Because putting aside the Cole/Phoebe stuff in a very dark corner, I do love the direction the show takes with the other characters. Also, yeah, Sam is...er, NOT a "good man". He might just be a very depressed individual, considering he thought he was getting his happily ever after with Patty and was then turned into a Whitelighter again (though I always thought that was a choice you can say no to) but the dude barely tried. I'm not a fan of Paige looking at him all starry eyed at the end cuz technically, I think Paige healed him first with forgiveness and he then healed her and Leo. This show likes to give absent fathers undeserved credit though (see: Victor).

I know y'all don't like the way they have written Phoebe I don't like where they have her looking for him either. But less we forget season 2 episode 2 where Phoebe learns from the future. Are job is to protect the innocent, not punish the guilty. Also I like that these characters aren't perfect that they don't follow one way, girls can be toxic in relationships and both can be toxic. We just saw an episode where a man they've made an angel twice can't be perfect enough to stay an angel. To me season 5 is steeped deep psychology of these characters and actions especially the fear episode.

I agree, it is annoying the way they write Phoebe right now, although I kinda understood her perspective at the start. And we can argue semantics of how good or how evil Cole is and what is warranted or not, BUT I figured out what the show writer's problem with this storyline is. They have this great storyline for Cole, and audience loves Cole's character so much that show's lost sight of who is this show actually about (not Cole, but the sister's). And in the process of building this great storyline of Cole, they got so directed towards that and his character evolution, that Phoebe stopped being a character on her own and became just a PLOT DEVICE and motivator of Cole's development, helping to drive his plot line rather than her own. They simply forget to write her for her, and instead write her for him. Sorry for the long rant, but I hope it makes sense.

How the sisters treat Cole annoyed me so much they ask him for help then treat him like trash after. This is really when pheobes character went downhill for me.

it's the indecisiveness from phoebe that's annoying. one minute she wants him dead, the next minute she's contemplating and hesitating. pick a side, and stay there. finding out that he wants to die in this episode shouldn't impact her decision or desire to kill him. if anything, it means you both want the same thing. so there should be no hesitation on her part.

I think one of the issues is you absolve Cole of all his actions. It doesn't matter what it is, but in your eyes, he's not responsible for anything he chooses to do. Is Phoebe annoying right now? Yes. Is Cole responsible for his actions? Yes. I think it's bizarre how in this episode, Cole had a darklighter attack Leo, Paige, and Piper's baby. Yet, somehow you were mad the sisters wanted to kill him for it. You even blamed Phoebe. The only one responsible for Cole's actions is Cole.

This might be his greatest rant at the end of a charmed episode ever 😂🔥
