So in the Anime Poll surprisingly Pokémon got a decent amount of votes. But I don't know where to start. I know the begining of Pokémon so not sure if I should start with the First Series since it would be more of a rewatch unless skip to later seasons which I don't know much about. Pretty much when we get to The First Movie in theaters.

I would say none of the above and start with Johto. Every Generation has its own series, except for the first two, which are combined into one (The Original Series), as they didn’t realize at the time the franchise would continue on so long. If you’ve seen the Kanto / Orange Islands series before (the first half of The Original Series), I would jump straight to Johto (the second half of The Original Series). Normally I would suggest just starting from the beginning, but there are a LOT of episodes, and it’s going to take you forever to get through them at the rate you watch shows, so you might as well just skip to what you haven’t seen before and aren’t familiar with. Kanto / Orange Islands is 116 episodes. Johto is episodes 117-286. You can do the math on how long that would take, and that’s just for The Original Series (Generations 1 and 2). We are currently in Generation 9. For what it’s worth, Diamond and Pearl (Gen 4) is generally considered to be the best, although there are some other really good ones. XY (Gen 6), Sun & Moon (Gen 7), and Horizons (Gen 9, currently releasing) are very popular. The Original Series (Gens 1 and 2) are generally considered to be among the worst (particularly the first half entailing Gen 1), but a lot of people, myself included, are nostalgic for it regardless and it’s still fun. With that said, most people would probably say the one they watched growing up and are nostalgic for is the best, which is why you are seeing a lot of votes and comments for The Original Series (Indigo League) here, as I assume you have an older audience that watched it growing up. TLDR: 99.9% of the time I would suggest starting from the beginning, but with so many episodes and the rate you watch them at, I would skip to what you haven’t seen before, which, based on the info you provided, is likely Episode 117 (the start of Generation 2) of The Original Series. There is no connecting plot between Generations, so you can start wherever you want.
