You're right Kyle is basically a good guy. He see's Liz getting distant and Liz isn't explaining herself. Now in fairness to her breaking up with Kyle and not being fully honest, we do have to get her a little benefit, because right now Kyle isn't her priority. She's really hurt because of family situation she is in. And the guy who literally saved her life, was attacked, when she knows (since she has literally seen inside his mind(, Max is a very good person. But realistically she should have already, let Kyle know that she isn't serious about him. That is her fault. Of course she is also dealing with a massive shock to her view of basically everything. I mean she is literally having contact with aliens. Thats not a minor thing. And she is dealing with trying to figure out how she can have feelings for what is literally a different species. and being told she can't act on those feelings. So basically emotionally she's a mess.

Personally i love max & liz as characters along with the rest, but i can totally see how since its very early and how you have not have clicked with them yet. And for the part about kyle yes he is actually a pretty good guy which was unexpected to me when I started as I definitely was expecting him to be a douche, he just has bad friends like liz mentioned. But overall i definitely hope you continue the show its one of my favorites!
