Liberty’s being an absolute asshole and I agree it’s because the writers don’t really know how to make her process her feelings properly, but I also think it’s because they intend to make it a character flaw because she doesn’t really want to/cant understand how to process her feelings. I do think she wouldn’t be reacting this way if the next girl JT dated wasn’t a teen mother. It’s because she’s a teen mother and JT seems to be stepping up to the plate in a way he couldn’t do for Liberty. Liberty chose to end it because of the decisions he made and it must hurt to see him do it better with another girl. There are a lot of things Liberty could have done better/differently in the time she was pregnant as well that she has to reconcile with, but JT nearly offing himself after selling drugs was really what ended their relationship and made Liberty choose adoption. But she couldn’t possibly communicate that to him so she is just rude and spiteful instead.

Tbh JT could have done this with Liberty if Liberty was better during the pregnancy, so it's more her 'fault'. Of course she was 15 so i am not saying she did anything horrible considering she was just a kid and kids can't process pregnancy well, but he did so well before she started making things worse. He offered abortion, then got a job right away and was with her through it all. It was only bad when Liberty refused help from her parents. He was actually not immature at all during the pregnancy. He was way more mature than Craig at least, and was only dumb when things got desperate and he sold the drugs. But she's just as immature. He's doing great with Mia cause at this point, he's just dating her, not raising the kid.
