The Delta Flyers is a weekly Star Trek: Voyager rewatch and recap podcast hosted by Garrett Wang and Robert Duncan McNeill. Each week Garrett and Robert will rewatch an episode of Voyager starting at the very beginning. This week’s episode is Sacred Ground. Garrett and Robbie recap and discuss the episode, and share their insight as series regulars. They are joined by the writer of this episode, Lisa Klink, for a short interview to get her insight.

Sacred Ground:
Kes is injured when she accidentally commits sacrilege on an alien planet; in order to save her life, Janeway must go through a mysterious ritual that challenges her faith in science.

Great episode with a deft handling of the concept of faith. Could their be a scientific explanation — maybe. But this was about a leap of faith. And when Kathryn understood that, understood not all answers are knowable, that was a significant character development moment. The guest actors were truly gems in this episode and it was VERY well directed. Robbie, you were clearly ‘ready’. BTW, Garrett, Robbie wins on the issue of talking - Paris sat pretty on the bridge as the Captain spoke to the Magistrate, but he was as silent as the grave.

Proud of Robbie for his passion and determination to pursue his directing career. Edited to add: Regarding Garrett's criticism of including Neelix and Chakotay's reactions, it appeared to me that they were reacting to Janeway calling out Kes' name.
