So, before I get to the backgrounds (which I'm also doing tonight), I wanted to quick revise the harpy form.

The animation was kinda done as an extended version but it was complicated to deal with, with a lot of transitions, dialog, etc. I've decided to cut it so it's more in line with everything else.

The flipside, it has more loops in general to rely on :V

Transitions still exist (even if not shown here) but they're faster and have less down time., and are easier to work with for me. As a result I've changed Shantae's expressions a little to be more smilely. This kinda reduces the hypno effect a bit, sadly, but the original (with dialog bubbles) will be available to patrons only as a deleted scene.

This post will be a bit long.

WHEW I really wish Patreon allowed for photosets in the main post.

My to-do list is currently as follows:

  • Make the backgrounds (gonna do that today)
  • Layer everything in AE and cut the loops.  Make what I want loop enough times for all 8 videos (this is just repeatedly copy-pasting, not hard. gonna do that tomorrow)
  • Render out a rough sample so Strelok can apply audio. (Debating: get some small voice acting) (Again, that's tomorrow)
  • While Strelok does audio, add in camera motions and shading. I plan to use scripts for the background positions so I only need to change the foreground's position and zoom, and it'll automatically parallax. Lighting is just a filter effect that'll be applied to the timed-out composition. (Possibly tomorrow, if not the day after.)
  • Prepare the patreon list (I'm going to use both November and December for the credits tiers, cause this is right at the cusp and this project has taken me way longer than I thought.)
  • Add the sound and render the final product. (Technically products, as there will be 2 versions.)

Everything's rendered at 25% bigger than 1080p, so I can zoom in and pan around without any edge issues.

MAN. This is finally coming to a close.
