Sumisuke Sketch (Original) + Convention News (Patreon)

This is Sumisuke -- an octopusman samurai bodyguard. He gets hired by the local lords on a regular basis to guard their castles and compounds, and seems to constantly run into Rantan (my ninja sharkgirl). When that happens, he has a tendency to interrogate her. 😏 Ropes will likely be involved.

I haven't designed a male character in a long time, and I wanted Rantan to have a foil -- a competent, serious, and witty guy in contrast to her cute and klutzy energy. I'm gonna draw some proper art of them together when I can, I just haven't had time!

And in other news, I'll be at AnimeIowa this weekend -- an anime convention in Coralville, Iowa. I'm at table A75. This'll be my first actual convention! All I've done in the past is artist alley at gaming tournaments. It's not a very big con, comparatively, but I'm excited to give it a shot.

Because I'll be heading out tomorrow and vending all weekend, this might be the last art I post this week (unless I can get something done quick tomorrow before I leave). Hopefully the couple of things I posted so far will tide you guys over 'til I get back. Sorry for the wait, and thank you for your support!
