Well it turned out badly that another coder I'm trying to convince has refused to work full-time, and I cannot waste my time anymore, I want to continue to bring 0.5 onto the table as soon as possible.

I now go back to RPGMaker engine and do everything myself like before, I don't have a better choice. Let's just see past 3 months work as an valuable experience and a legacy for second game development.

Now one thing is bothering me is the clothes system, I don't know how to let Yuuki-chan have more than 2 switchable outfit sets that can be accessible from Character Menu, it requires Ruby coding knowledge. Some features I accept to lose but clothes system is essiential. Without it the game can't progress further.

I might need your help (in case you want to help me, of course), but I gotta finish some stuffs first then I will upload the game source on my discord server so you can take a look.

P/s: I'm really sorry that I wasted like 3 months and it turned out like this, but I'm sure I won't let this happen again as I won't depend on anyone this time.

If I were you I'd look for a plugin. Someone has to have written a plugin that either switches outfits or makes it possible. In RPG maker MV its super easy to do through an event. You just swap out the character portrait and the walking sprite and you're good to go. Throw in Yanfly's menu expansion, making it an event called from the menu and boom. I would assume your version can do similar.

Suggestion: Can you check with wolfzq (also on patron) regarding your issue? They might be able to help you out regarding that

Maybe it's a good idea to ask on thematic forums like - ulmf, f95zone, legendofkrystal. There gathered many of developers and people whom familiar with rpgmaker and even if they not direct help at least mayby they can point right direction(another forums, tutorials, free scripts database, etc.).

William Urquhart

Esgaldin has a good point - some of the other fan/dev boards have some really helpful folks that have a good amount of knowledge in RPGMaker especially. ulmf is a favorite of mine - a couple of the coders there are phenominal - I know the developer of "Dungeons and Prisoners" is particularly good (I forget his name off the top of my head) and has always seemed like a cool person.

If you create a public repository for this, like github or something, then I and other programmers could help you without too much trouble. You would need a repository, and a roadmap so we know what to work on. The best way would be if you can unpack the ruby scripts so they can be viewed and edited in my editor of choice. If you want help just make it easy to help you.

rannero

I'm not familiar with those things but I wonder will they understand the scripts without assets? or I have to upload the whole game directory, includes images, sounds etc... at once?
