A few images from set 2 with badgrlnckl. Lightroom edits only. ( By the way I've posted a few from the first set maybe a week ago, see them here.)

Lighting this set artificially is easier than you might think! You need a powerfull enough light, and space to distance the it from your subject. The further away the light the more defined the shadow edges get. (if you're into photography you've probably heard it before - "The smaller the light source the harder the light.")

In this case I'm using a single 500 W/s flash head, barebulb and about 5 meters away. That's it! That's how you get the look in the first image.

Now the pro tip part! In all the other images it seems like the windows on the right of her are also throwing some light and shadows on her. This is actually a big mirror on camera right, reflecting what's coming from the flash. There you have it! :)
