It's our first test ep with a guest as Maggie & Red are joined by Philip K. Dick Award winning author and absolute delight, Meg Elison! This week's adaptation is The Silence of the Lambs, from the Thomas Harris novel to the Jonathan Demme film.

This is likely one of our last test episodes (we might do one more). We're pretty happy with how the podcast is shaping up and are planning our launch and initial season schedule. We are desperate for your feedback, so please let us know what you think! What do you like about this episode? What do you think would make it better? Let us know in the comments, you can email red@redscott.com, message @red_scott on twitter!

There is so much to talk about regarding both the book and the movie let alone when the conversation is about how the two compare and contrast. How do you and Maggie think about the structure of the show? Like do you two have segments structured before hand or do you make a list of things you want to hit? I figured with this ep the transphobia was a thing you had to talk about? Much like the main podcast I like the free wheeling nature of the conversation. I like feeling like I’m listening in on funny smart people talking about pop culture items. I really like when someone brings up the production stuff and writer info. Learning Harris has a medieval interest really informs the works and discussions. Same with the camera tech info.

I know this came out on Valentine’s Day because I made my boyfriend at the time take me to see it in the theatre. He was horrified. We didn’t last very long 😀
