Hi, everyone.

Time really flies fast. Honestly, it’s been a somewhat fucked up year that threw me off balance. I’m still trying to find a literal place to live in this world which of course doesn’t mean I ever stopped developing the game. It’s the only thing that helps keep my mind sane, giving me a sense of purpose and meaning among the bullshit that is going on in the world right now.

But enough of this mushy crap and let’s talk about the game's development. There’s a lot of progress that has been made and even more to come. The game is constantly evolving, and my understanding of this complex process of creating huge living and breathing worlds grows bit by bit with it. Which, of course, might be a bit overwhelming sometimes but at the same time very liberating, like standing on top of the peak of a mountain with immense vistas stretching out in all directions. (this comparison might not be accidental since I’m living in the mountains at the time of writing this post lol.)

I grew up playing(or perhaps, to put it better, living in and exploring) RPGs and as I’ve stated a number of times before, my prime aspiration is to create experiences worth immersing yourself deep and losing yourself in. I still remember the feeling of finishing games like Gothic, Dragon Age(the 1st one), or Witcher series. Experiences that add a whole new layer to the way you see the world and journeys that leave you with a yearning for more.

There’s a panoply of ingredients that goes into such a cocktail resulting in deep explorations with meaningful choices and a measured smattering of new scenes on a monthly basis that works for most VN or sandbox-type games just won’t cut it.

The good news is we have a new writer on our team who’ll help me with the game’s content, so the BIG update is going to be released much sooner than I could ever have managed merely by myself. Which of course is only possible thanks to you, our generous supporters. Words can't express the appreciation I feel for your believing in the project. With our dedication combined, the game will truly be something great.

Speaking of which, we’re working on adding twelve new dungeons that are part of a new huge region the players will be free to explore. It will include dozens of new characters the player will be able to get close to, and their quests. Overall, hundreds of new art pieces and hundreds of thousands of words’ worth of content. And of course, new mechanics such as magical weapons, womb tattoos, and piercing that I posted examples of earlier.

Here’s just a screenshot of our workflow. Each document contains a ‘dungeon’ which is an umbrella term for any self-contained area with its own meticulously crafted map and a set of encounters(don’t mind my crappy sketches, the artist will turn them into beautiful landscapes).

Congratulations to all who’ve made it to the end of my ramblings)). I’m really looking forward to next year and all the opportunities it’ll bring.

Sincerely, Nekon, a Dryad Quest’s Dev.

P.S: here are a few character sketches of but one area(Bunny Village) that fortuitously happen to be sfw for this public post)))

Stupid question here i know, but neither of the codes in this post are working for me, but i am logged in on the site. and i am a sub for the game, this is what i get with both codes You can't use inventory at the moment.

dryadquest

Most likely it's because the inventory is inaccessible in the Void Dream Dungeon(well, because it's a dream). If you want to use codes from there, you could for example use the debug panel('Testing' tab) to move to location 2 of prologue_dungeon, apply the codes, then move back to location 2 of void_dream_dungeon
