Update! Arm.
The year? Yes.
(All that should be read with a very serious, old time news anchor voice in mind.)
The arms doing much better. Still gives me reminders when I have been holding a pencil too long.
My grandfather is still in the hospital from an ER trip back on thanksgiving. I'm round trip driving my grandmother to see him nearly every day. The hospital only allows one designated visitor right now in the area he has to be in. And since the round trip is a little over (Not much) 100miles, I find a place to park, read and sketch. Pick my grandmother up when visiting hours end.
Good news however. He is recovering slowly and they don't think he will need dialysis for a little longer. Hopefully in a couple days he will be released to a recovery home for rehabilitation. One not near as far as the hospital. Shorter round trips.
Riding with my grandma for hours a day in traffic is a practice of understanding. She is in the mid stages of dementia. She has more than once confused me with her son when he was my age. It's eating at my brain with worry. But I know there is little that can be done about it. It's something she saw with her grandmother, then with her own mom. I was caregiving for her near the end and saw the same signs I'm seeing now.

Sure. That's a lot of information you all don't want to sift through as such. Sorry 'bout that. But this was a good outlet to vent. And I feel a bit better for it.

Today's trip into the city to drop her off, gave me a sidequest. A local burger joint in Seattle bought a water color I did for a car show poster years ago. It had the burger joint in the art along with a few cars and loads of hidden messages and more visible information about our car show event.
It's the first year I hid a love note to my wife in the art. I have hidden one in every shows poster art since.
I am tickled that an original painting of mine is going to be framed and archived with the companies corporate records. Four prints I had left over got thrown in for free and I was told they would be framed and sent to other locations for lobby display. Every one with the little love note from me. And every one with 'FTM'* displayed somewhere.
