This show makes me happy, also I agree I wish they would have showed more of the internal movements

Iirc, didn't she do a splenectomy in EP. 1? Somewhere between this and the manhwa, I think I learned that it is an exceedingly difficult surgery because of where the spleen is located and because you have to deal with moving all the other organs out of the way not all at once but in a set sequence and way, to gain access to all of the blood vessels, ligaments, and membranes that need to be cut. Coincidentally I saw a video recently about anesthesia, and I think they said that passing out or sleep isn't enough to keep you from moving and waking up when you perform surgery, but as you said, still keep someone breathing. It showed something about a lot of the opioid drugs having different effects during surgery, and used depending on type and location on the body of the surgery (Edit: I remembered it was a video by anal anesthesiologist on those Chiefs fans who froze to death.)........ I have an idea about why surgery seems more advanced than medicine. (Still, didn't the ancients have some idea of diabetes, saying the blood was sweet? Wasn't that even in Apothecary Diaries recently?) If anatomy was more advanced than chemistry, given that you can dissect cadavers, and mostly is what you can see, and chemistry is relatively hidden, wouldn't it make sense that surgery would be more understood? (Surviving a surgery is a different matter.) It wasn't that long ago that they were blaming illness on the four humors. I think it was the 18th century when an English doctor discovered blood circulation. Btw, the printing press was invented in the 1400's. I think it was the 1800's when the typewriter was invented.
