Waifu Wars! coming this february 5th.
Just an early advice, for the people to not miss the character pick post.

There will be changes to avoid the large number of character per poll, there are way too many for a few winners.

While it's obviously up to you, I would say a good way to divide anime characters would be based on how old their respective media is. Like modern/still airing to older to "retro" to help prevent characters with recency bias from dominating polls.

Or perhaps have brack based on how popular the media is, characters that are super popular, mid-level popularity, low tier and perhaps a list where patrons choice characters end up so they don't feel like their getting ignored

Well, the main problem is that there are many options here, and even if a character is popular, there are always some new waifu who takes the poll and steals the spot, Lucy and Rebeca shoved other characters. It would be great something like /90´s Toons/ 2000´s toons/ New trend/ Anime/ videogames/ polls, i mean, Albedo has been in the polls for almost a year she was released just a few months ago with Lucoa, lets not talk about Aqua. Nemona is another example, i didnt see a poll with that character but here she is, i dont complain since she´s so sweet and lively in videogames, but there are other options that have been delayed by way too long.

But i guess this is a normal issue, unlike others, Evaan takes 2 to 5 days to release a new character when he updates the page, Mr.Delegado is good but we´re still waiting for november cards, not to mention moods updates that Evaan deliver with new characters (for example, the whole Persona series, Pokemon and BnH Academia)

Perhaps maybe even a filter for different genre of anime like isekai or slice-of-life, or if a particular anime has a lot of popular characters, a separate poll for that like what with persona got like konosuba or MHA. As you mentioned with Rebecca and Lucy, their animes success and their popularity outside of it kinda made their respective polls a foregone conclusion and should have just been "bonus" releases. It creates a lot more work. But might increase patron happiness because I know I had a few big wants with recent polls that got bulldozed.

Well, a "bonus" poll could be overwork but to be honest, i dont see that many options, i understand that there´s a new cute/hot waife per season, but adding her to the poll when there has been other options waiting for ever? maybe something like "Seasonal waifu" or "Just baked", i think that 4 polls are good but if Evaan thinks he can handle 6 o 7 polls, everyone will be happy about it.

Note that Evan uses already available models while Mr D makes a (somewhat stubborn) point of doing everything from scratch and holds polls more often. He's pretty much backed himself into a corner at this point ever since he let patrons remove the time aspect in a survey last year.
