Overall, I loved this "prequel show" and found it to be very useful as far as connecting with the largest number of contestants possible before the show even began. I have some complaints: I really don't like even having contestants as young as the 1st Grade or even most of 2nd Grade, I think cutting half the contestants based on performances people watching My Teenage Girl won't know anything about is stupid and abrupt, and 4th Grade was seemingly almost exclusively there to be mocked for being "too old" and were given very few positive or redeeming moments that all the other grades were afforded. But overall this pre-show was extremely wholesome, very fun, well paced, and got me really attached to a lot of contestants right away.

I think the best part of the show was having "Mama Oh" in the role of someone who was actually rooting for the girls. I think the value of having a licensed qualified child psychiatrist as someone kind and supportive that the contestants can talk to during the show is something I wish EVERY SINGLE SURVIVAL SHOW had. I also very much enjoyed the mentors so far on the show, who seemed to provide a lot of actually helpful training for the participants.

I am BEYOND excited to see these performances the girls are preparing. In particular Hyunhee and Jieun's Bicycle, CRAZY Team's cover of Crazy, Sarang's Jessi cover, and of course Taerim's Believer, all look INSANELY PROMISING to me. I am however, dreading a massive elimination, and I hate that it's being cut to 10 of each group because I love all of Grade 3 and almost all of Grade 4.

I will always include the updated text file of my trainee list so you can all track how much I like certain trainees throughout the show. It's not too complicated to follow: Any time a trainee does something that REALLY grabs my attention, or makes me root for her, I add another star.

My current plan is to watch the "real show" relatively quickly after it airs, but I am not announcing a day or time yet because I do not know how quickly subs will be available. Stay tuned for updates regarding that.
