Feedback on Crowd-Control style functionality (Patreon)
Content
Hey guys, I've had the idea of adding a new feature for Pokélink similar to crowd control.
If you're unsure what Crowd Control is, it is essentially a twitch extension that allows your community (your viewers) to contribute bits in order to affect actual elements in your gameplay.
Imagine a chat locke (a nuzlocke, allowing chat to kill off specific pokemon, put restrictions in place, etc), but instead of you having to manually kill a Pokemon or limit your ability to perform specific actions in the game, Pokélink could do that for you through a twitch extension. (Demo of Crowd Control's functionality but limited to Red/Blue)
This is what I'd be looking to implement but across all games, all configurable within Pokélink.
It would essentially allow your viewers to control elements of your Pokemon run-throughs, by enabling them to donate bits to your channel, increasing your viewer engagement and also increase in your Twitch revenue (amounts and actions will be subject to availability and also configuration you’d be able to set in the app).
Let me know in the comments below what you think and any ideas you've got around this.
Full Disclosure: A very small percentage of donated bits (or small fixed amount - still to be determined) made through the extension would go towards supporting further app development.
