Polyrhythms vs Polymeters (Patreon)
Content
Howdy!
Something that always bugs me is musicians (or even music companies in the manuals for their gear) calling something a "polyrhythm" when it's actually a polymeter. So here's a video about both of those concepts!
Also, I wanted to let you know I'm putting out an app next week. It's called Flip and it brings my sample-based music making process to iOS. (Android might happen in the future if it's wildly successful...unfortunately Android is more challenging to develop music apps for - I'll be making a video on that soon...)
Flip is really fun and quick to work with but can also be quite flexible and powerful. Basically I made the exact tool that I wish I had for being able to create on the fly whenever I come across a cool sound. :)
Thought I would give you an early look here. It will be in the App Store on December 2nd, with early bird pricing of $7.99US. If you get it and make anything with it please tag @flipsampler on Instagram or Twitter, I'd love to check it out!
