Hey everybody! Here are two videos in an ongoing series I'll be doing about different parts of the music production process for people wanting to learn more about that. I've gotten into it a little bit in various videos over the years but it seemed like it would be useful to nice packaged content around certain concepts.

Where to begin with making music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXnVp2zLTYY

The essentials of a home studio setup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JBOgJ0lTJo

And a video I put out in between these two was a second collaboration with Lego! We made music with Lego instruments again, but this time added in a whole lot of special guests: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4W-wjSS8g5A

I'll attach that track to this post if you want to download it.

Finally, a little bonus video on my second channel for the synth and modular lovers - a demo and walkthrough of a new 7-voice drum module: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPv0675RKUA

Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for the BLCK_NOIR video! Overview appreciated, any additional thoughts on it? I realize you weren't doing an exaustive review, but I was hoping for some additional perspective, since it isn't in the wild yet.

Sure thing! I love the snare, goes snappy to beefy with a great analog tone. Kick saturates nicely though never gets quite to 100 on punchiness. The rest of the sounds are more limited but work great as a take on CR-78 flavor, and everything shines more once you start CVing eg. envelopes to the filter and bit degrader. Also with the indiv outs you have the option to process individual elements. Crash cymbal's pretty tinny, can't see myself really using it. All the effects are ace.

The room treatment tips are SUPER helpful! Thank you!
