Yoo! These two episodes were so good! I was blown away! ITACHI IS OP, SO IS NAGATO! Eyes are really strong in this show! I love it! Next two episodes of Shippuden will be out on Sunday! Your questions regarding Shisui and Itachi all are answered around in the 350s of episodes. It’s quite long ranging arc..The entirety of Itachis and Shisui’s childhood and early teens can be found there. Of course watch it when you get there. Don’t want to get MAJORLY SPOILED.

Itachi is and will always 2nd fiddle to Pain when it comes to Akatsuki and they are both my top 5 favorite characters.

A lot of people say Pain is stronger then Itachi but honestly seeing itachi actaully trying and how smart he is I thnk he would beat pain

If you disregard the reanimation jutsu and characters having unlimited reserves of chakra. Pain is stronger then Itachi even if both sides are healthy meaning Itachi never gets sick and Pain never loses his life force. The Totsuka blade only works on a single target. I mean it could possible work on all 6 Paths of Pain if they were standing in a row but that would never happen. So yeah Pain was the strongest in that regard. Plus during the fight in this episode Kabuto is the puppeteer in this scenario meaning he is the one manipulating all of the reanimated shinobi. There conscious is wiped and he takes over their minds so of course he would have been defeated. It’s like he was playing one of the Naruto games and playing as Nagato even if he had an understanding of his complete repertoire of moves he ain’t able to utilize them to the fullest capacity because Nagato isn’t the one actually running the show. Plus Nagato had to worry about Itachi, Bee and Naruto.

Itachi's sword is really OP, but one of its drawbacks is that it has a limited radius and they need to pierce the target, and the second is that it probably spends a lot of chakra on it, since you need to summon a full Susanoo in armor. It is also sure to be incredibly painful and quickly impairs vision, as Sasuke said it was almost impossible to endure the pain of calling Susanoo. So when Itachi was alive, it would be difficult for him to use this attack all the time, plus it is not effective against long-range shinobi. The same Deidara with his bombs, Sasori with dolls, Nagato with bodies and the ability to repel objects, or even Kakuzu with hearts could attack from afar, and it would be difficult to pierce them with a sword. Well, Madara is simply invulnerable to physical attacks, so it is even more difficult to pierce him, you need to catch him suddenly , like Minato, or catch him in genjutsu. So while Itachi was alive, his sword was not that OP, although he is still very OP if you don't know about it before the fight, since you are easily sealed unexpectedly. That is why Itachi hid his possession and easily caught Orochimaru in him. I also never understood why Nagato could use all of this "Puppet" powers (growing a cannon arm out of his back). Maybe someone can explain? Has it something to do with what Madara explained to Konan about Shadowstyle having the ability to create inanimated objects?

i never understood the love for Itachi. I dont even think he is that much well written. Also he is overhyped ,his "morals" would have prevented him to ever get the eternal mangekyou and his current powerlevel is only thanks to our boy Kabuto. Dont get me wrong he is nice and stuff and he is amongst the most powerful Shinobi but right now atm he is more powerful than he could have ever become as a living human as even without the disease he would have no vision anymore in his eyes by now.

Careful about mentioning episodes numbers. I was told by everybody that I was spoiling him just because I said that some of the questions he had asked in a previous episode would be answered in about 100 episodes from now. And everybody got on my neck for saying that.

just a little fact since everybody likes to shit on Itachi mainly because people hate that he's above their favourite characters: He and Jiraiya hat the most points in the shinobi Databook. Which means, even theoretically they're the strongest in several points.

I think you are deliberately misleading people. Itachi and Jiraiya have the strongest stats (35.5) only in the third databook, which falls on the beginning of Shippuden. The last characters to appear in this databook are Kakuzu and Hidan. Perhaps it will be unexpected, but yes, Jiraiya (other Sannins have stats of 35.0) and Itachi are the strongest at the very beginning of Shippuden. In the third databook, they don't even know about the existence of Nagato, Konan, Tobi and all the characters that appeared later. By the way, old woman Chiyo is also one of the strongest characters in this databook. In databook 4, character stats are not described at all, but we can safely say that Pain is stronger than all the characters we've seen so far. Itachi is very dangerous because of his sword and intelligence, but he barely captured the tailed beasts in his time, when Pain could collect them in heaps. Itachi has almost the lowest chakra and stamina of any character in Naruto. Tayuya (girl from season 1), like any other chunin, beats Itachi in these stats. I don't think Itachi can even compete with all genin here. The fact that Pain was hit by the sword means only that Kishimoto is well aware that it is impossible to defeat the immortal Nagato with the current characters. The Nine-Tails barely fought with only one body that controlled gravity. If all the bodies were there, the nine-tailed fox would be captured in 2 minutes.

Killer Bee always was able to go Full Form. So Itachi "rescuing" 2 of them wasn't that necessary.

Totsuka has a limited length and a slow attack speed. Nagato could not walk normally, otherwise Itachi would never have hit him with this attack. That is, with a living Itachi, you just need to keep your distance and wear him out, using strong techniques and forcing him to use Susanno (a dead Itachi is much more dangerous). This is why Jiraiya in his peak form would be a formidable opponent for Itachi. Because of his large arsenal of powerful techniques. The same goes for Kakuzu. Itachi could probably defeat both of them, but it would be a difficult fight for him.

Lucky an important point is that Nagato could not move because of his destroyed legs long ago by Hanzo (stated by Kabuto himself), otherwise Itachi would have never hit him.

I have watched the series more than 20 times and I can confidently tell you that Pain is stronger than Itachi. The only version of Itachi that can fight Pain is Edo (Reanimation) Itachi and he would go down to Chibaku Tensei (Planetary Devastation) since no Killber B or Naruto to help with firepower this time.

When Naruto sees Jirayia, it's not Itachi genjutsu. Crow represent death in many culture and it is more of a vision that Naruto has of his master acknowledging Nagato after death. It's the same as when Jirayia touched Naruto's shoulder after his death, his presence is always with Naruto.
