Omg. I love you both. You are so real for crying the way you did. Everything about this story is sad and beautiful and wonderful and awful.

Sicarrax

you guys should watch "all quiet on the western front"

RX2904

OMG I just watched your reaction. Hope you are okay.

kelly

I haven't watched yet but the way yall look in the thumbnail! Awwww poor babies 🥺

Rabbid Dawg

Wishing yall good vibes, and oh jeez, I hope yall are doing ok after that one! I didn't have nearly the same visceral reaction, but it's a good reminder that we experience things differently! I remember walking out of the theater for this movie feeling the weight of everything, almost shell shocked, same as Schofield. It was one of the most unique experiences I've had in theaters in a while. Thank you guys for giving this a watch and sharing with us your raw emotions and thoughts.

Chris Bruneau

Well Girls, I watched this one right with you, it’s a heartbreaker. You know, World War I was the first time the modern weapons of the industrial revolution were combined with trench warfare, which resulted in horror and carnage on a scale never before seen. 18 million were killed. Those who survived it, thought there would never be another war. Sadly they were wrong. There was a puny little German corporal who fought in that war and harbored a nasty grudge the rest of his life—his name was Adolf Hitler.

Rodi Borst

A great choice in the movie is having the focus be on mostly unkown actors. While having several big name actors play more "cameo" roles. While taking a few long trips last year revolving around WW2 , going to different musuems and locations In Belgium, France and Germany. I also went to the city of Verdun, which was one of places with heavy fighting in WW1. If you are ever in that area and are interested in getting a glimpse of how it was like back then. They have a very interesting museum, set up inside an old fort. Where in WW1 they made a huge underground tunnel network that was used during that time. U take a small cart around those tunnels while wearing a AR headset. And u follow a group of soldiers that are fighting there and arrive at the fort. Also on Youtube: Vlogging through history Is doing some very intersting items around WW1, and going to the actual battlefields and ares's in France. For a few WW2 sights to see, in Belgium they have a huge part of the former Atlantic Wall defense preserved which you can tour. And at the city of Bastogne is a great museum totally dedicated to the: Battle of the Bulge. Besides of course seeing the beaches and area of Normandy, which is just insane to imagine what was done at certain places while standing there.

Chris Bruneau

somehow, I doubt Chad will convince them to watch another war movie after that horror show

Chris Bruneau

I've been to the American military cemetery in Normandy, where 10,000 Americans are buried. Standing amid all those crosses just broke me.

Quzga

Can't wait to see edited one, looks like the film was rough on them 😭

Daniel

That was wonderful. It's great seeing people get so much out of what a piece of art is putting down. It's really an excellent movie for a war that gets overlooked a lot

TinCan Cosmanaut

Well done Maple you noticed the 1 shot video style 20m in. Something I missed until someone told me. It just felt very unique and I didn’t know why.

Ronald Foster

The industrial revolution was over and the American Civil War, Crimean War, and the Russo-Japanese War all utilized trench warfare on a large scale before WW1 and were directly responsible for that type of fighting doctrine.

Chris Bruneau

my point is as to scale: WW I saw many new weapons such as machine guns, howitzers, chemical weapons, tanks, and aircraft --all produced in en masse due to the advent of industrial mass production. Those other conflicts were small in comparison to the carnage of WWI.

Ronald Foster

WW1 was The UK, France, Italy, India, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and The US (with several other smaller nations) vs Austro-Hungary, Germany, The Ottomen Empire and Bulgaria.

Eric Wallace

Thought Arianna was literally going to throw up when they said he went over with the first wave

Trevor Go

Great to get back to some movies.

T.wiley

Damn that really broke you both lol. Great reaction by the way, the way they shot this whole movie is just incredible.
