Most of the changes I hate are in episode 3/4, for starters the introduction of the idea that Aang does not believe he needs to be learning water bending this entire season (which was supposed to be the reason they were heading to the north not to save them from an attack)! But also the merging of 4 (maybe more) different side quests (including a couple storylines that should not even be in season 1) in that take place in different locations, all just lumped into the Omashu storyline! The first time I saw him in that cart I knew he was Jet, even though this actor is actually cute and Jet in the cartoon was super ugly, because of the instant chemistry between him and Katara. Of all the other characters they met in 3 seasons, the only person she showed any romantic interest in was Jet.
