It's impossible to answer the question if you'd do the same. Joel is already (realistically) a mass-murderer. It's been 20 years since the beginning of the apocalypse and he's lost everyone he cared for except Tommy. We'd have to live that life first before we could even begin to enter that mindset. I love the debates about this moral dilemma, though. 10 years ago we had it, and now there are people having the exact same debate. It's a story that leaves a mark, that's for sure.
