Greetings, Today's subject is one of great interest to me when it comes to the Friendship is Magic universe. One of the most difficult things to misinterpret here is the denotation of the cutie mark. I could imagine having a bodily mark representing what you do best that appears at the very moment you realize it would make understanding that aspect of yourself much easier. But humans don't have that, do they? At least not naturally. So in order to discover our destiny naturally, we must go through a lot of trial, error and self-reflection. Even when we realize what we like doing best, there's a chance that we could be misinterpreting how we're supposed to go about it. Or a chance that we could be guessing wrong. And even if that's not the case, we still have to choose to pursue it. Thanks to Looney Turtle for the help with today's script. He pointed out something that is additionally very interesting to me. Troubleshoes' cutie mark was an upside-down horseshoe, which he claims is a representation of bad luck. However, common connotation of an upside-down horseshoe is having good luck flow around a person. This could quite possibly speak to the impact people can have on themselves and the way they interpret themselves by society's definitions. But that's another story entirely.
