Update: The insurance company has officially decided my car is totaled, which I expected. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow to talk more about my injuries and possible treatment options and if there’s any more testing I need done than what I had done at the ER right after the wreck. Hopefully things go smoothly with insurance and they don’t try and low ball on the settlement. I really don’t have the energy to fight, but if they low ball me I’ll have to. I still owe a good amount of money on the car so I want to make sure they give me what my car is actually worth. I don’t want to get stuck paying off the loan and not having enough left over for a good vehicle.

Does anyone here have any tips for dealing with this kind of stuff? I’ve never had a big claim like this before. Only small things like a minor wreck, broken window… that kind of thing.
