7Eves - Ch.1 Pages 1-6 thumbnail sketches + script preview (Patreon)

Hello again, Patreon! As I stated in my updated Patreon goals, production on 7Eves has officially begun! I'm taking a much more careful and calculated approach to this project, while being mindful to not lose momentum!

I first began development on this comic by writing up a script, with spaced separations breaking up the dialogue to signify where one panel starts and another ends. That full script ended up being eighteen pages long, and while I won't be sharing it all with you guys just yet, I'm happy to share this preview link for you to read up until shortly after our introduction to Liv!

7Eves Chapter 1 script PREVIEW 

Once the script was written, it was time to figure out how to visually space the whole thing apart! Before I go in and actually begin sketching full-blown comic pages, I need to first visualize what the pages themselves are going to look like, to make sure they can fit into a standardized comic page format. Unlike Memories of Arcadia, in which I made my pages as big and as long as I wanted them to be, 7Eves is going to follow a much more uniform, cleaner reading style, like a traditional comic book! After all, if this project does well, it could very well go to print someday, and I'd like to make that process as easy on myself as possible!!

So, referencing my script, I began drawing some very quick and hurried sketches-- which get visibly MORE quick and hurried as I remember that these are only thumbnail sketches!!-- to match up with the panel breaks I'd made, and working them in to fit on a single page before transitioning to another. So far, one-and-a-half pages worth of script has translated to six pages of comic... Does that mean Chapter 1 is going to be sixty pages long? We'll just have to find out together!!
