The Super Mario Odyssey art book released last year, and it was filled to the brim with all manner of juicy info. Among all the art shared, including Mario-styled humans in New Donk City, and even a canon "Bowsette" of sorts, it was also confirmed that at some point in development they were even to include the queen of the cosmos herself, Rosalina.

Hailing from the Super Mario Galaxy series of games, Rosalina is often depicted in a flowing cyan gown, always floating above the ground. But in the art book, she was shown not only wearing casual attire, but she was revealed to be an accomplished guitarist, and it looked as though she even paints her fingernails black! That got me wondering if the same was true down below~? I was completely smitten with the design, and had to start drawing her myself.

... But man. Guitars are hard to draw.

This one proved a challenge too great for me at the time. But, if I'm to create content where my own original characters are part of a rock band, I'd best be getting a lot more practice! I might be convinced to finish this piece one day, but for now, this one is classified as "abandoned". We'll just have to see what the future holds!
