In 2000, Heavy Metal Van Hammer joined the Misfits In Action stable and was renamed Private Stash to fit the group's military gimmick. As you may know, the name Private Stash was an inside joke. However, Hammer objected to being a private, since it is the lowest rank in the military. He complained about it, which resulted in his name being changed to Major Stash, thus completely ruining the joke. What are your thoughts on this? And do you have any other interesting Van Hammer stories you could share?
