Halloween is right around the corner and I know Spirit packs are especially popular this time of the year. I also know that most owners like to modify their packs to their liking - including me! Personally, the Spirit pack is the item that opened up my interest in making Ghostbusters props and it was my first mod/prop project. Even today I still tinker with my first Spirit pack. I have since turned it into a video game pack (and I'm still not entirely finished!). It's kind of my working lab.

In this post, I have published a few new STL parts that I used to give my Spirit packs some video game-inspired details. When combined with my published Slime Injector System parts, these parts will give you some nice Spirit upgrade options.

These are easy parts to print and wouldn't be time consuming at all if you're looking to do a few quick/simple mods before Halloween. Here are a few notes:

  • They require 3mm hex screws to attach to the pack
  • I printed mine using PLA with standard 0.2 mm layer height.
  • You will need to grind off the molded crank knob part before installing the venting light

I am making this material and content for the 3D Printed parts available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. License text is included in the attachment!

Here is my current build including these parts, slime injection, and my thrower upgrades! (all available in posts on this Patreon)

I was just sitting here thinking about what I wanted to do with my Spirit pack...

Question about modding these files for the spirit pack. Did you scale the rest of TVG files to fit the Spirit pack? I read that they were originally designed for a 100% scale pack. I just don't want to print it all out and find that it does t all fit correctly.

Good question - these files on this post are already scaled for the Spirit pack (that's what I originally built them for) Regarding the other TVG pack-oriented files: The slime injection system, for example comes with a few larger and smaller versions of the files (like the side tank). The thrower files are designed for a "standard" full-size thrower.
