Good evening! This week's map is November's wildcard map and therefore not at all to do with the underground! It's a desert city, in fact. Probably goes well with the desert canyon variant I made for the Underground River Chasm.

This busy town center contains a street market, illicit opium den (or whatever your local equivalent drug is), a temple of indeterminate deity, a small bar/tavern, and a handful of small hovels. The streets may be a little tight for your average, combat, which is why subscribers will find there to be a rooftop variant included with plenty of open space for combat! Don't fall off.

Instead of extra variants, the Enthusiast and Benefactor tiers receive a full pack of modular building assets, including a huge variety of empty rooms for custom decoration, rooftop parts, and a set of pre-made decorated rooms that I put together for the Desert Streets map. Benefactors get an additional set of 12 extra bonus rooms done up with my professional lighting and shading! Also included are doorways, arches, and windows that you can slap down on top of the walls (with extra padding added so it'll click smoothly in Roll20 or other gridded VTTs) to build interconnected chambers, and T- and X- wall intersection patches to smooth over ugly black lines.

Technical Details

  • Resolution: 3,080 x 2,380
  • Map Size: 22x17 tiles
  • Grid Size: 140ppi

All modular building assets have their sizes given in their names.

Supporter: Desert Streets & Modular Buildings

Enthusiast: Desert Streets & Modular Buildings

Benefactor: Desert Streets & Modular Buildings (Raw Files)

Downloads include all content from the previous tiers. The Raw Files package does not include the raw files for the building assets; those will be included in the monthly asset pack that will be launched at the end of the month!

Raw file notes: You will need 7zip or Ark to open them and Krita to edit them, and also ~500mb in free space average. Multi-part archives must be extracted together.

Notes

ow, my back

Also, a second note, though I will be posting a proper announcement on Sunday - I'm going to be taking December off for personal time. I'll be pausing the payment cycle so that noone's charged on December 31st, of course.

Thank you for your support. Please yell at me if you encounter any issues.
