Good morning! This week's map is based on the fifth option of the last poll - dilapidated and old farmland that has fallen into disuse. The paths lie unpopulated for now, but with scrub grasses creeping in, it's only a matter of time before this area is reclaimed by nature.

Variants

The plain wheat field map is, of course, attached to the top for free.

Note, you probably don't need the raw files unless you want a ~500mb uncompressed .kra file with the layers intact.

Notes

The original suggestion called for "rolling golden prarie grasses". I tried very hard to make a prarie grass brush, but it just didn't turn out well at all. It was way too noisy. See, you need negative space - blank areas - so that your eye can rest, and by default, I outline stuff like grasses and trees, which turns a field of grass into a sea of black outlines. I spent too much time trying to figure out the grass and ended up reverting to my wheat brush instead. So now it's a wheat field.

Of course, then I realized after a while that it was too autumn-y, too evening-y for the bright green trees I was using. So I tinted them yellowish, and now the map is autumn, which was not my intention, but hey it is almost September.

Anyways, thanks for reading and for your support! The next monthly poll will be up in a couple of days.
