Mushrooms are objectively funny.

This week I decided to draw a canyon, and I also decided to put mushrooms in it. I'm not really sure why. They kinda stick in my head as a "martian" sort of plant. It's probably War of the World's fault, see. There's also an oasis with some ordinary-ish plants, because mushrooms need water or something.

Variants

  • Supporter: Red dune and normal canyons, plus day and night versions; two oasis variants with and without fungus; and an ordinary dry canyon with no distinguishing features other than for a large empty sandy basin! Surely, no violent fight will occur here.
  • Enthusiast: The canyon doesn't have to be dry. The Enthusiast package comes with a set of canyon river maps, with foliage all along the bank! Also included is a set of desert shoreline maps, for your oceans or particularly large lakes.
  • Benefactor: Oil pools, frozen arctic maps, a gigantic (and incredibly ugly) mushroom in the middle of the oasis, and a couple of underwater maps round off the Benefactor package.

Both the red and ordinary fungal oasis maps are attached to this post for free!

Supporter: Fungal Canyon

Enthusiast: Fungal Canyon

Note, you probably don't need the raw files unless you want a ~500mb uncompressed .kra file with the layers intact.

Notes

Mushroom, mushroom.

Recommended (and unaffliated) reading is a unique spin on myconid NPCs, courtesy of Goblin Punch.

I will be taking next week off due to my birthday. August maps will resume on the 16th!

Thanks for your support and thank you for reading.

Not sure where to put this since you don't have a discord- but I made a edit to the Raw files that added a 'mars-oil-mushroom' variant. Here's an export of the custom variant. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hXGuHmH8wn9Gd9ZMAn98WfT34Y_uR_gH/view?usp=sharing

Oooh, that's really neat. You recolored the fountain and stuff too. You didn't enable the daylight lighting/shadow layers, though - was that deliberate? Also, the comment sections here are just fine. It lets other people access stuff too, and it's relatively convenient. Stuff like this is nice to see!

two thirds oversight- one third the fact that I end up messing with global lighting in Foundry itself. My Krita was slowing down heavily everytime I tried toggling layers, so I didn't do a second check on it before exporting.
