Good morning! July's poll came up as Lagoon Cities ala Venice, so this week's a secretive garden hidden behind the buildings and away from the main streets. A canal runs through the middle of the area, providing water access and a place for a quick getaway - or for enemies to arrive at. There's a selection of alleyways that might be escape routes, but you can always declare that some of them have been blocked off if necessary, of course.

Variants

  • Supporter: Day, night, and rainy versions of the garden are complimented with a set of clear courtyards, which also include another small 8x16 Pokemon arena for PTA/PTU players. Also greyscale, et cetera.
  • Enthusiast: The river and well basin are ripped away to expose a clear sky underneath! This city is now thousands of miles above the ground. How did this happen? Also includes some magical well variants which draw attention to the park's basin.
  • Benefactor: Stripped of grass and daytime lighting, the whole area's been repainted to look like an underground dwarven city. A version with a lava river is also provided.

The free map is as usual attached to this post!

Technical Details

  • Resolution: 2,380 x 3,080
  • Map Size: 17x22 tiles
  • Grid Size: 140ppi

Downloads

Supporter: The Secret Garden

Enthusiast: The Secret Garden

Benefactor: The Secret Garden (RAW)

Downloads include all content from the previous tiers. Raw files require 7zip and a good bit of technical knowhow, see raw file master post for details or ask me if you're confused. You probably don't need them if you don't know what they are.

Notes

It's more like the Secret Collection of Backyards, but that's not an interesting title.

I hope the tree locations are clear enough. The perspective is a bit wonky and I obviously couldn't obscure half the map outlining the tree locations or by showing the canopies.

Thank you for reading and for your support!

Is it possible to add the Tree Canopies as seperate layers/files- in VTT's such as 'FoundryVTT' we can add 'foreground layers' that disappear when someone steps under them

Miscellanea RPG Maps

Well, not strictly speaking, since I didn't actually draw the canopies. I'm not really familiar with Foundry so before I could set something like that up, I'd have to figure out how its canopy system works. I was considering paying someone to start putting together Foundry VTT files, though, but that's a work-in-progress and I don't know when or if it'll happen. It's interesting to see that there's an interest, though.
