It's Halloween! Alas, certain events have neutered the typical preparations. Color me disappointed. But hey, you don't get trick-or-treaters when you live in the middle of nowhere, so it's not a huge change.

This week's map is - and there's actually two maps again this week, and I'll upload the second after this - a crypt of tremendous size, lined with two channels down which may flow either water or blood, depending on the nature of the coffin resting atop the central altar. The obvious use is for a vampire, but you can also host a variety of fetch quests, resurrection rituals, sacrifices, and duels between hated rivals in a place like this. Or a plain old ghost story, perhaps.

  • The Supporter-tier variants feature three different colors (red, blue, and purple) with three different canal states (empty, water, and blood)! In addition, there's a handful of fullbright maps that I only just embarassingly realized while writing this is missing a couple of variants, which I had made for those who use VTTs with built-in lighting support. Finally, there's versions of literally every map with an empty altar instead of a coffin resting upon the focal point, for your quests that don't involve defiling a saint's tomb or stabbing specific sorts of undead.
  • The Enthusiast-tier variants feature two additional color schemes for the tomb - a much more brilliant golden-hued chamber and a somewhat grayer version, both with all three canal states and no-coffin edits. On top of this, it also comes with ritual spell-circle versions for every single map variant in the Supporter tier. They're beautiful, I promise - heck, just look at the free version attached to this post, since I released one for free. The golden ritual with water is probably my favorite of them all.

Bit of a mess today, or this week, behind on my work and busy - but I've been saying that since the start of the month. Actually, since the start of the semester. I still managed to get two maps drawn this week - finishing up the corner store from last week, which will be published as soon as I finish writing this! This map is 20 tiles wide and 30 tiles tall, 100ppi as always. I hope you enjoy the map, and that you survive to see the next. Have a good week!
