Through the power of sheer boredom and the insistence of a friend, I have made an additional, larger, more fully-featured and detailed Sinnoh map! This is totally free, by the way. I made it for fun.

Features include:

  • A high-resolution map, with a 70x70 pixel 10-mile grid surface, all game routes, many extra routes to cover the anime's additional towns and travel paths, major landmark and location markers for most of the significant locations in Sinnoh, an actual Battle Zone route map which I had forgotten in the last one, and contest hall and gym location markers!
  • Two additional versions of the map, one without any of the anime locations (stripped down to just those featured in the games) for accuracy-obsessed luddites, and one with just the base terrain.
  • The raw .kra file, for free and for your perusal/editing, along with all of the icons I made for the map in .pdn (Paintdotnet) format.

And it's 100% free! Download is below. No subscription required! Tell your friends!

(This won't replace this week's map, either! I'll be drawing the Japanese Summer Festival, since that won the poll - or, rather, it tied with Pokemon Stadium, but being that the Summer Festival was a patron-suggested option, it wins the tie by default.)

Please note that despite my painstaking research and efforts to uncover the location of every town mentioned or shown in the anime, Pokemon's writers made several errors that can't be easily reconciled (displaying Chocovine Town as "nearby" Snowpoint City while simultaneously showing Squallville as between it and Sandalstraw town, which is itself much closer to Snowpoint City than Chocovine could ever be).

As a result of this, most of the anime locations shown are "best-guess" with the exception of Alamos Town, which was displayed in the region depicted in an obscure Japanese promotional map.

Also, the versions attached to this post had a watermark attached; the ones in the .zip archive do not have watermarks.

Font used in the map is Georgia, 8pt.
